Ambau Files for Bankruptcy

Ambau GmbH, a manufacturer of towers for offshore and onshore wind turbines, has filed for bankruptcy at the responsible local court in Cuxhaven last week.

Ambau employs around 350 people at two locations in Cuxhaven and Gräfenhainichen in Germany. The Local Court of Cuxhaven has appointed GÖRG partner Dr. Gerrit Hölzle as provisional insolvency administrator, who will accompany the proceedings in a team with Hamburg-based GÖRG partner Dr. Thorsten Bieg. The Gräfenhainichen site will be managed by the proven team of Berlin-based GÖRG partner Sascha Feies in cooperation with Rüdiger Weiß from Wallner/Weiß.

Ambau's order situation has been satisfactory to date. The management team initially focuses on securing the continuation of production on the basis of the existing order backlog and developing solutions for the future. The search for investors, which began even before the proceedings were initiated, will be continued at short notice.

The wages and salaries of the employees are initially secured for three months by the insolvency money financing, according to INDat.info.
