We are happy to announce RISP© - a game changer in ice protection for wind turbines.

Ballistic Ice Fall, caused by the debonding of accreted ice on a wind turbine, can be dangerous and/or destructive. Wind turbines collect ice on the blades during operation in cold and humid conditions, leading to the periodic release of high velocity ballistic ice sheets. The RISP© system greatly reduces this threat and vastly improves system safety and reliability.


RISP is a passive system, which prevents dangerous ballistic icefall. RISP© can be customized for all kind of wind turbines and may also be adapted to existing ice protection systems for enhanced performance.


RISP© is a patented technology invented by Markus Villinger and Jose Palacios.
