WINDPOWER 2007 Conference Theme:
Getting to 20%: Growing the Wind Energy Business
This year's conference will focus on what actions are required to make wind energy a significant part of the U.S. electricity portfolio from less than 1% of U.S. electricity demand currently, to over 20%. Abstracts should consider how to achieve this 20% goal by identifying major issues and challenges, and discussing solutions for the advancement of the wind energy industry.

*Abstracts submitted in these categories will also be considered for a new Scientific Track.
For the first time, AWEA plans to schedule a Scientific Track at WINDPOWER 2007. Working with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Wind Energy Technical Committee, the WINDPOWER Conference Program Committee will review abstracts submitted for the 5 pre-identified categories listed above, and select a limited number of abstracts for possible inclusion in the new Scientific Track.
