Wind Industry Profile of
EnBW Conquers Sweden
Newly founded EnBW Sverige AB based in Falkenberg is investing in its first Swedish wind farm in Rammarehemmet near Tidaholmm, southern Sweden. The 11 MW wind farm is to be connected to the grid next year.
EnBW has been active in Sweden since 2016. Two years ago, the German energy supplier from Baden-Württemberg, bought Connected Wind Services (CWS), also based in Falkenberg. CWS, headquartered in Denmark, is one of Sweden's leading manufacturer-independent service providers for the maintenance and repair of wind turbines.
“Just a few weeks after entering the French market, we are delighted to be able to expand our activities abroad in another attractive European market with EnBW Sverige AB. As an experienced project developer and operator, we will be represented by our own team and will also make a contribution in this market to the expansion of renewable energies,” explains Dirk Güsewell, Head of Portfolio Development at EnBW.
