Iberdrola Continues Baltic Sea Offshore Expansion

The company has won the auction to build two more wind farms in the German Baltic Sea

Iberdrola has won 486 megawatts in the second offshore wind power tender in Germany

It reaffirms its commitment with the future of renewable energy within the framework of its strategy to fight against climate change

Iberdrola has been awarded the construction of two offshore wind farms in German waters in the Baltic Sea, totalling 486 megawatts (MW), following the second public tender organised by the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur). This is about the Baltic Eagle (476 MW) and Wikinger Süd (10 MW) projects. Iberdrola will develop these wind power farms at the same time to maximise cost efficiency and economies of scale.
