MPT handles first tower segments for Arkona offshore wind farm
After the first 36 of 180 wings over 70 meters in length were successfully transshipped for the Arkona-Becken Südost offshore wind farm, the new heavyweights arrived at the Mukran Port.
The port service provider Mukran Port Terminals (MPT) handled the first 6 tower segments (each about 130 tons) in a tandem lift at the Offshore Terminal North. Arkona Offshore WInd Farm: Arkona Offshore Wind Farm is located 35 km northeast of the island of Rügen in the German Baltic Sea.
