Nordex now listed in the TecDAX
Hamburg, June 9, 2006. - After restructuring its indices, Deutsche Börse has added Nordex stock (ISIN DE000A0D6554) to the TecDAX. This index comprises the 30 heaviest technology stocks after the DAX companies in terms of market capitalization and trading volumes. As of May 31, 2006, Nordex ranked 15th in terms of market capitalization and 18th in terms of trading volumes.
“We are pleased that Nordex will be included in the TecDAX with effect from today. This will additionally boost the appeal of our stock for institutional investors with a long-term orientation. Following the recent equity issue in May 2006, roughly 50% of the Company’s 64.3 million shares are free float,” said Thomas Richterich, CEO of Nordex AG.
Nordex AG has been listed on the Frankfurt stock exchange since April 2, 2001. After recapitalizing in Spring 2005, it is now benefiting from strong international demand for wind turbines. Thus, in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, order receipts hit a historical high of EUR 263 million. All told, the Company had firm orders worth around EUR 1 billion as of March 31, 2006.
