Slovenian Government Wants To Start Harvesting Wind Energy
According to the Slovenian Times, the government of the country decided to draw up national zoning plans for two wind farms last week.
Until now, the use of wind energy has encountered strong resistance from the Slovenian population, which is why only two wind turbines have been erected so far. Now two wind farms are to be built, one in the windy southwest and one in the north-east of the country.
However, there is still a long way to go before the wind farms are built: if it is possible to get both foreign investors and the domestic economy on board, construction could begin in two and a half years' time.
