Wind Power in the Caribbean
Belgian wind farm project developer Aspiravi has installed the third wind farm on the island of Curaçao. The new Tera Kora II park was built in co-operation with NuCapital Incorporated and has an installed capacity of 17.25 MW. It is an extension of the existing wind parks Tera Kora I and Playa Kanoa.
Tera Kora II consists of five wind turbine plants and provides enough electricity for 20,900 households. As a result, the island can cover 30% of its current energy consumption through wind energy, making it a top address for renewable energies in the global economy (measured by the low population of appr. 150,000 people).
