Senvion installs first prototype of 3.4M140 EBC
Successful completion of optimised turbine for low wind sites
Senvion, a leading global manufacturer of wind turbines, has successfully completed the installation of the first 3.4M140 EBC turbine prototype in Heckelberg for the Notus energy Group. The Senvion 3.4M140 is equipped with a sound-optimized blade profile and a new pitch control system to reduce turbine load. The prototype in Heckelberg can power nearly 3,000 households per year despite low wind conditions. Senvion presented the 3.4M140 turbine at HUSUM Wind in September 2015. Serial production for the Senvion 3.4M140 with hub heights of 110 and 130 meters will start towards the end of this year.
