Iberdrola Strengthens Commitment in Brazil
Since they already own 50 percent of the shares, both companies are now fully owned by Iberdrola. The Spanish company will thus receive a wind farm portfolio of 288 megawatts divided into ten different wind farms in Bahia and Rio Grande do Norte in Brazil.
The transaction is still waiting for official approval by the Brazilian antitrust authorities (CADE) and the banks involved in financing. FEB is currently building three further wind farms with a total capacity of 94.5 MW in the state of Paraíba, scheduled to be connected to the grid during this year.
