Wind Industry Profile of
Aero Enterprise flying high above
At WindEnergy Hamburg Aero Enterprise is going to present their recently completed development: the comprehensive inspection tool consisting of the SensorCopter, a mobile ground station and analysis software AERO-Lyse.
The main focus of Aero Enterprise is on airborne quality assurance – and as an absolute innovation – the IT-supported demonstration and comparing evaluation of data for damages with the self-developed software AERO-Lyse. The software assists experts, owners and service companies for classifying, evaluating and interpreting damages.
Currently, such inspections are done by industrial climbers. Not only that these activities are dangerous, people are limited in their objectivity, because of their different perception. This is where the SensorCopter gets involved: the small helicopter not only provides high resolution images, but also infrared images embedded in a precise 3D location software, what makes a transparent and standardized quality assurance possible.
With the self-developed helicopter-drone, SensorCopter, the Austrian company Aero Enterprise GmbH inspects wind turbines, industry plants, dams and a lot more.
Comparable Analysis
The service of Aero Enterprise enables plant manufacturers, service companies and system operators a complete new way to evaluate, to record and to document the functional states of wind turbines. Key benefit: inspection results from different time periods are accurately comparable and saved for the customer in a database. Thus, trends and forecasts on the development of damages are possible.
The SensorCopter is a semi-automatic unmanned helicopter equipped with a rotor diameter of more than two meters and a redundant autopilot system, also developed by Aero Enterprise. On the aircraft several cameras and sensors are mounted for data collection and evaluation. All results produced with the copter are interpreted by several self-developed software solutions (AERO-Path, AERO-View, AERO-Lyse, AERO-Mind). The combination of the flight-robot, the ground station and the analysis software is unique.
The start-up company is located in Linz/Upper Austria and currently employs eight staff members. Managing Directors are Mr. Robert Hörmann and Mr. Peter Fromme-Knoch. Robert has his origins in aerospace (military pilot in the German Airforce, Aircraft Mechanics, Technical Sales and Business Development), Peter is a qualified engineer and has been working as a consultant for turnaround management and process optimization for the last 15 years.
