News Release from American Clean Power Association (ACP)
Wind Industry Profile of
Professional-quality photos needed for 2014 AWEA calendar
Every year AWEA highlights the Power of Wind by showcasing the industry in its ever-popular annual wall calendar. Given the striking beauty of American wind power projects, which are set against an array of landscape backdrops around the country, the full-page monthly images are typically of wind farms, so please send us your best project shots.
But the wind power industry, of course, is so much more than projects, so all members of the supply chain and industry are encouraged to send in their favorite professional-quality images of factory settings, wind power workers, and anything industry-related. Many such shots made it into this year’s calendar, so please submit your favorite industry photos that show wind power at work for America—generating clean energy, jobs, and economic development.
AWEA would also love to be able to have your photos on file in order to use them for other purposes, so that we can promote your industry. So please submit—whether or not a photo makes it into the calendar, you’ll be supporting the industry!
Deadline: July 29.
Send your submissions to: Carl Levesque at clevesque@awea.org.
Other guidelines:
- Unlike the Web, print publications such as the calendar require high-resolution shots that are large electronic files. Specifications call for high-resolution photos, 300dpi, at full size: 11.25” wide x 8.625” high or larger, or 25MB uncompressed. Note that smaller photo slots (i.e., those that are not full page) in the calendar may not require those large specs.
- All photos will require written consent from project or plant owners, photographers, etc. Forms will be provided upon submission.
