Acciona - Wind power in Oklahoma
The wind power project had been renamed in memory of a late employee known for her “big smile,” according to a release.
The late employee, Jennifer “Jen” Koop-Krass, was the Director of Energy Marketing at Acciona Energy North America. She passed away in 2011 after a battle with ovarian cancer, according to Acciona.
The project is located across 10,888 acres of Roger Mills and Beckham counties in Oklahoma. It uses 66 wind turbines that were installed at the end of last year.
The project is located just 15 miles west of Acciona’s 123 MW Red Hills Wind Farm that was put into service in June 2009.
