THE NEW GENERATION OF FIRE PROTECTION

SAERTEX LEO is a new type of composite system that meets the high fire safety requirements set in the offshore, maritime and construction businesses and in manufacturing railway locomotives whilst simultaneously avoiding any negative influence on mechanical key performance indicators usual in current fire protection systems.

SAERTEX LEO uses differing core materials, optimised NCF layers (glass, carbon, aramid or hybrids) and special LEO infusion resins depending on client specifications and the intended use of a component. A SAERTEX LEO Protection Layer is always the final component. The individual components are physically and chemically matched as client specifications and specific use dictate. They have no influence on either the mechanical characteristics or drapability of the system.

   98% slower flame progress than PES GFK
   22 x less flame spread than PES GFK
   IMO FTP and EN 45545-2 tested
2. Excellent mechanical characteristics
   Lightweight - 40 % lighter despite maximum resistance
   Rigidity and tensile and bending characteristics that are several times better than hand laminated (HLU) or steel products despite being thinner
3. Harmless to health
   57 x less smoke development than PES GFK
   Does not release toxic substances if it catches fire
   Can be handled without protective clothing
4. Universal use system
   Use of NCFs, core materials and resins as specified by the client and as the intended use/s require/s
