The ATM60 absolute multiturn encoder - extremely robust and reliable!

Magnetic scanning makes the ATM60 absolute multiturn encoder especially suitable for use in wind energy installations, with its extreme insensitivity to high airborne moisture being a particular benefit. The magnetic scanning principle means that a code disc is not required, leading to a higher shock and vibration resistance. The multiturn stages are implemented via mechanical gearboxes. All this ensures extremely reliable, interference-proof capture of motor position for azimuth or pitch adjustment. Robust, long-life ball bearings and a temperature range of -20 to +85°C are ideal for application in both on-shore and off-shore wind energy installations.

SSI, Profibus, CanOpen and DeviceNet provide all common interfaces for data transmission to the respective controller. Naturally, the ATM60 is available in the standard mechanical face mount flange/servo flange as well as blind hollow shaft versions with connector or cable outlet.

For many years, thousands of ATM60s from SICK have been used in wind energy installations. Convincing in both quality and reliability!
