Dernbach, 8th June 2011. The German American Energy Conference took place from 12th until 13th May 2011 under the title „Global Energy Challenges – Transatlantic Business Op-portunities“ for the third time in Berlin. The Conference has been organized by the German Energy Agency as well as the German American Chamber of Commerce.

During the two day event the several presentations and panels were used to exchange expe-riences on the US-market for renewable energies, to present market entry strategies as well as to describe and discuss possibilities for financing and system integration of projects. About 300 experts of German and American politics and the economy participated in the ex-perience and information exchange in Berlin.

SIAG Schaaf Industrie AG, represented by the founder and CEO Rüdiger Schaaf, presented the company’s experiences entering the American wind energy market as well as the strateg-ic positioning of SIAG on the market during the second conference day. Since 2009 SIAG has a production site for the manufacturing of tubular steel towers for wind turbines – SIAG Aerisyn LLC in Chattanooga, Tennessee – on the US market.

„The American wind energy market has a huge growth potential. But in order to realize the full potential it is still necessary to create conditions to lay the foundation for healthy growth in the future – like standardized and attractive feed in tariffs.”, says Rüdiger Schaaf about the current situation on the US wind energy market.
