Wind Industry Profile of

LZFRP establish sixth blade factory

Lianyungang, 26th November 2010
Lianyungang Zhongfu Lianzhong Composites Group (“LZFRP”),
Asia’s leading manufacturer of rotor blades and SINOI’s sole
shareholder, celebrated the ground-breaking ceremony for its
sixth production plant in the City of Hami, Xinjiang Province.
The investment of this new rotor blade project is 512 Mio. RMB
on a site covering more than 110,000 square metres. The annual
output will be 1 GW.
“The City of Hami was chosen for the next rotor blade production
bases, because of its exceptional location and the huge wind
energy resources in Xinjiang. Hami City is one of the 10 GW level
wind power bases in China. The potential wind power in Hami is
estimated to 75 GW,” said Mr. Dingjin Zhang, President of China
Composites Group Co. (“CCGC”), the main shareholder of LZFRP.
LZFRP has faced an enormous growth since they successfully
produced early 2006 the first 1.5 MW blades in China. With
constant effort, LZFRP mastered the technology of rotor
blades production and possesses now advanced production
technologies for wind turbine blades from 1.25 MW up to 5.0
MW. Today LZFRP is the leading independent manufacturer of
rotor blades in Asia.
The new production plant in Hami City will further improve the
technology strength, scale and brand advantages of CCGC in
the rotor blades industry. Hami City is the 6th rotor blade factory
besides Lianyungang (Jiangsu province), Shenyang (Liaoning
province), Jiuquan (Gansu province), Baotou (Inner Mongolia)
and Nordhausen (Germany).
As per the end of 2010, LZFRP has provided more than
5,000 sets of rotor blades to nearly 100 wind farms. One
of them is Donghai Bridge, the first offshore wind farm
in Asia, which was supplied with 3 MW rotor blades from
LZFRP. Furthermore the new developed 5 MW blades will be
successfully delivered at the end of this year.
