Germany - Agreement signed by Wind Works Power Corp. to sell 20 MW joint venture wind energy project
Wind Works Power Corp. is pleased to announce its joint venture partner, EFI Energy Farming International GmbH (EFI), and has signed an agreement to sell Wassertrudingen, their 20 megawatt (MW) wind energy project in Germany.
Wind Works invested 100,000 Euros in the project in May 2010, and will receive a total of 190,000 Euros over a 12 months period.
'This project was sold much more quickly than we had anticipated, however we did almost double our investment in a matter of a few months,' commented Dr. Ingo Stuckmann, CEO and director of Wind Works.'
This sale validates our business strategy of diversifying into the German wind market, the most proven, mature wind energy market in the world. We will continue to look for opportunities to invest in advanced-stage wind projects in Germany where we can add value and then sell our interests in a 12-18 month time period. I have been doing this successfully over the past 10 years in Germany, and am confident we can acquire additional projects that fit this strategy in the near future.'
Our mission is to provide the opportunity for all people to participate in the development of renewable wind energy projects. We believe in making sound, environmentally conscious investments that are good for our shareholders and our planet. To eliminate one person's carbon footprint of 10 tons each year (for Germany), it only takes a modern wind turbine 1 day by producing approx. 20,000 kilowatt hours of zero emission energy.
