USA - Moventas changes operational structure and stregthens service operations
Moventas
Moventas is changing its operating model to increase focus on Service business alongside with Wind Gears and Industrial Gears businesses. The new Service division started on April 1st, 2009.
Service business division:
The target for the Service division is to reach a leading position in global wind and industrial gears service business. This target will be accomplished by serving globally the large installed base of existing gear units made by Moventas and other suppliers combined with some new services. To be able to successfully promote new services and to respond the growing customer base, the closeness to the customers and strong local and global presence is required.
The new Service division is built on current service units of Wind Gears and Industrial Gears divisions. By combining all service units together and adding new competencies Moventas is able to expand footprint further in relevant global markets and utilize resources more efficiently. The head of the Service division is Olli Välimäki, Senior Vice President, Service Division.
Management team:
As a part of operational changes Moventas appoints Tomi Koskinen, Senior Vice President, Supplier Network, to be member of the management team.
Moventas Management team from the beginning of April 2009 consists of:
- Jukka Jäämaa, President & CEO (acting Head of Wind Gears Division)
- Ahti Ahonen, Senior Vice President, Industrial Gears Division
- Tomi Koskinen, Senior Vice President, Supplier Network
- Veli Kronqvist, Senior Vice President, Finance and Treasury
- Mikael Laine, Senior Vice President, Business Development and Corporate Functions
- Olli Välimäki, Senior Vice President, Service Division
