USA - South Dakota Wind Energy Association is formed
A group geared toward supporting the development of wind energy in South Dakota has been established.
The South Dakota Wind Energy Association had its initial membership and organizational board meeting Jan. 13 in Pierre.
SDWEA also will act as a forum for education, research and information about wind development.
Officers elected include President Jeffrey L. Nelson, East River Electric Power Cooperative general manager; Vice President Dr. Kevin Kephart, South Dakota State University vice president for research and dean of the graduate school; and Secretary-Treasurer Toby Crow, Associated Contractors of South Dakota, executive vice president.
