India - GSPC to sign MoU with Gujarat for wind power plant

Projects today reported that the Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation is likely to sign a MoU with the Gujarat government at Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit which is beginning on January 12th for setting up a 200 MW wind power plant.

As per report, the wind power project involves an investment outlay of INR 1, 200 crore. It has invited bids for the project for which around twelve companies are responded. Some of the companies include Suzlon, Vestas, Theolia, Globalwind, Abellon and Enercon. The project winner will be disclosed on January 12th.

The successful bidder will have to commission the plant within 6 months from the date of being awarded the contract. The scope of the bidder will include, commissioning, developing and operate the plant for 10 years. Selection of location, acquisition of land and arranging financial resources will also be done by the successful bidder.
