FIBOX GmbH is an independent subsidiary of FIBOX Oy Ab in Finland. FIBOX is one of the international market leaders in the field of plastic enclosures for electrical and electronic components which are used, above all, in the field of industrial automation. However, plastic enclosures are also increasingly being used in the area of renewable energy like in wind power plants and photovoltaic systems. Fibox enclosures are distinguishable by their utmost durability and withstand even harshest and most demanding industrial and outdoor conditions.
Today Fibox operates from four world-wide manufacturing facilities, one of which is situated in the German company headquarters in Porta Westfalica, to provide their customers "best value" solutions. Currently, FIBOX produces more than 500 different standard enclosures and cabinets made of polycarbonate, the copolymer ABS, glass-fibre reinforced polyester or aluminum, some of them protection rated up to IP68.
In the past few decades, FIBOX has heavily influenced the enclosure market and from the beginning committed itself to the purpose of continuous product development in the field of toolmaking and manufacturing technologies: In 1966, FIBOX introduced the first enclosures injection moulded from polycarbonate plastic (PC) which marked the beginning of a new era in electrical panel building. The German FIBOX GmbH offers comprehensive services, from mechanical processing and labeling of single panels or cabinets to planning and delivery of whole automation systems. In addition, FIBOX offers an extensive range of enclosure accessories.
