Sabowind sells wind energy projects with 108 MW in Poland

Sabowind announces the sale of its so far biggest project portfolio in Poland consisting of 54 wind energy turbines with 108 MW. The project consists of four wind farms with 52 wind energy turbines Vestas V 100 and two turbines Vestas V 90 that will be erected in the Voivodship Kujawia-Pommerania and Greater Poland. The construction works will commence in September 2021 and the production of wind energy shall take place in successive steps from Q3 2022 until Q1 2023.

Dr. Rainer Sack and Lidia Paczkowska, general manager of Sabowind GmbH and Sabowind Polska Sp. z o.o., are content to keep their promise of sustainable investments in rural Poland and to measure up to the expectations of communities and citizens. „By mandating Polish undertakings, paying taxes to the municipalities and making donations to local organizations we want to thank for the trust and support over many years and make our contribution to the development of rural areas” announces Lidia Paczkowska.

The wind farms are located in areas with good wind conditions and have taken part successfully in the auction of the energy regulation authority (URE), hence they can benefit from a fixed feed-in-tariff over 15 years. The estimated annual production of app. 300 GWh electrical energy will avoid app. 100,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions and will provide renewable energy for app. 75,000 households. The projects will contribute to moving forward the energy transition in Poland and will support the exit from the fossil energy production.

Sabowind was advised by esmera Partners (financial) and BSJP (legal).
