Wind Industry Profile of
Nexans is a partner of Legacy, the new film by Yann Arthus-Bertrand
This partnership between Nexans and “Legacy” continues a collaboration with Yann Arthus-Bertrand and his foundation GoodPlanet, where Nexans' Climate Day took place on September 22nd. On this occasion, he declared: "This environmental crisis must allow everyone to give meaning to their lives. And it is obvious that companies, too, must give meaning.”
About “Legacy”, Yann Arthus-Bertrand underlines: “I made a very personal film which was probably one of the most difficult I had to make. It is also a call for collective responsibility and I hope it will be heard by everyone.”
Sharing the photographer's convictions and acting in support of the fight against climate change, Nexans joins the photographer's approach. Christopher Guérin, Chief Executive Officer of Nexans, explains: “Nexans is a long-standing player in the field of sustainable electrification around the world. The shift by major industrial groups to use more decarbonated energies is becoming more than a priority, it is a real purpose. With Yann Arthus-Bertrand, we fully agree on these important subjects and the actions to be taken. “Legacy” is the strongest testimony of a life of commitments and we are proud and happy to be its partners.”
As a major player in the energy transition and sustainable electrification, Nexans is committed to carbon neutrality by 2030. In addition, the company recently joined the Climate Group's RE100 initiative, which brings together the world's most influential companies leading the transition to 100% renewable electricity. Nexans has also been recognized for its leadership in sustainable development by the CDP, a global non-profit environmental organization. As a result, the company is now on its prestigious "A List" for the fight against climate change.
