Garrad Hassan advises Alstom in purchasing €350 million manufacturer Ecotècnia

On June 26 2007 Alstom announced its acquisition of the Spanish wind turbine manufacturer Ecotècnia for €350 million. Garrad Hassan Ibérica (together with staff from the UK head office) acted as Alstom’s Adviser on both technical and commercial issues for this acquisition.

Garrad Hassan (GH) advised Alstom on both commercial and technical aspects of the transaction. GH has an unrivalled knowledge of the wind energy market and was able to help Alstom assess Ecotècnia’s position within it. GH provided a detailed evaluation of Ecotècnia engineering, using their experience with both turbine design and global due diligence.
