Wind Industry Profile of
Move out Moray East substations
The OSP’s are now ready for final commissioning by Siemens. The 3rd OSP will soon be moved into the hall for further installation and commissioning work by Siemens and ENGIE Fabricom. The OSP’s are planned to leave the Hoboken yard within the first half of this year.
Siemens awarded Smulders the contract for the construction of three OSP. Smulders is responsible for the detailed design, fabrication, blasting and painting of the modules. Siemens has delivered the containerised high voltage equipment that was mounted onto the modules. Engie Fabricom are responsible for the OSP’s low voltage electrical integration, cabling, testing and commissioning.
The project, situated off the Aberdeenshire coast in the North Sea, is being developed by EDP Renewables, ENGIE and Diamond Generating Europe.
The OSP’s will connect the wind farm with a capacity of 950MW to the electricity grid in the UK.
