Largest Wind Turbine in the World Erected
Image: GE Renewable EnergyGE Renewable Energy and rotor blade specialist LM Windpower have announced on Twitter that they have successfully built the prototype of the world's largest wind turbine: The HaliadeX-12 MW is now standing tall in the port of Rotterdam.
The third 107 meter long rotor blade was installed there today. Now, on-site work teams will carry out the further commissioning steps to collect the data required to obtain a type certification next year.
