Rosatom Wind Farm Projects Move Into Implementation
Construction of the first wind farm of Rosatom’s subsidiary – VetroOGK – will begin in the Republic of Adygea this summer, its capacity will be 150 MW, announced Murat Kumpilov, head of Adygea, at the Forum.
“The implementation of the project of the first wind farm in the country by a subsidiary of the state corporation Rosatom has already begun, construction permits will be issued in March – April, and construction and installation works will begin directly in summer. The wind farm capacity will be 150 megawatts”, – he added.
The head of Adygea specified that the wind farm will be built on the basis of 60 most modern wind power plants on the territory of two municipalities of the Republic – Shovgenovsky and Giaginsky districts. Commissioning of the farm is planned for December 2018 – January 2019, the implementation of the project will reduce the energy deficit of the Republic by more than 20%. In addition, the transport infrastructure of the region will be integrated in the design works, and the volume of non-metallic materials issue will increase.
Currently, the Republic is also working on technological synchronization with the national grid. Authorities in the region plan to build a 220 kV substation and a 220 kV transmission line from Adygeiskaya WPP to the existing Armavir-Tsentralnaya overhead circuit. Their total length will be about 14 km. Currently, VetroOGK is registering title to land for the construction of the Adygea WPP, Kumpilov added.
The stages of the construction of the wind farm were discussed by Murat Kumpilov, head of Adygea and Alexander Korchagin, general director of SC NovaWind (the division of Rosatom responsible for projects in renewable energy) within the framework of the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi.
Apart from the Adygea wind farms project, Rosatom also supports wind farms construction in Krasnodar Krai. On Thursday the Administration of the region and JSC VetroOGK signed a protocol of intentions to build wind power plants (WPP) with a total capacity of 200 MW on the territory of Temryuk and Yeisk districts at the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi.
The document was signed by the governor of Krasnodar Krai Veniamin Kondratiev and VetroOGK director general. The total investment in the project will be 20.5 billion rubles, NovaWind said. The commissioning of the wind farm is planned for the end of 2019.
In 2016, the parties signed an agreement on cooperation. On the territory of Temryuk and Yeisky districts wind measurements are already being conducted, the business plan of the investment project is approved.
The Russian Investment Forum is being held in Sochi on February 15-16 with the participation of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, this is a traditional platform for the presentation of the investment and economic potential of the Russian Federation. Last year 377 agreements for 490 billion rubles were concluded on the sidelines of the forum.
