Hornsea Hat-trick for Tekmar Energy as they hit a 60 Windfarm track record
The Hornsea ONE project located 120km off the Yorkshire coast will become the world’s largest offshore windfarm once operation in 2020. It will consist of 174 Siemens 7MW turbines covering an area of approximately 406km2.
Tekmar have been awarded three separate contracts on the project through different customers to supply their market leading TekLink® Cable Protection Systems (CPS), Cable Hang-off Clamps (HOC) and Cable Joint Protection.
Collectively the contracts represent a multimillion pound scope for Tekmar, all of which will need to be delivered in early 2018 in order to meet the ambitious demands of the project.
Tekmar, who have held the dominant position in the Offshore Wind CPS market for the last 10 years now have a track record of working on 60 different Offshore Windfarm projects representing over 6,000 systems supplied.
Tekmar’s cable Hang-off Clamps offer a new and innovative approach which improves installation and offers better protection of the cables. Despite being a newer product to the market, Tekmar have built up a track record of 7 projects and 500 units supplied.
