WINDPOWER 2006 Conference & Exhibition

Dear Wind Energy Professionals,
On behalf of the American Wind Energy Association Board of Directors and staff, we would like to invite you to WINDPOWER 2006 Conference & Exhibition, which should provide an invaluable “window” on the state of the wind industry.
We are excited about the future of the wind industry in Pennsylvania, and appreciate the leadership of Governor Rendell and other state officials in establishing policies and programs that have helped support the market for wind in the state.
This conference reflects the substantial growth of the wind industry in the US, which is experiencing another record year in 2006. The US was the largest single market for wind in the world in 2005, and, with continued policy support, we expect strong demand in this country for years to come.
Not surprisingly, given the industry growth, we also expect that WINDPOWER 2006 will be our largest conference in history, with over 4,500 attendees gathered in Pittsburgh’s beautiful David L. Lawrence Convention Center. The exhibition is especially impressive, with over 280 exhibitors expected.
An outstanding conference program has been organized from over 370 abstracts led by our Program Co-Chairs, Michael Davies of Freestream Capital and Jim Lyons of General Electric. Mike and Jim worked with a well-qualified Program Committee representing a wide range of expertise to build the strongest possible program.
We hope you are able to join us in Pittsburgh for WINDPOWER 2006 Conference & Exhibition!
