India: Spares in Motion heads to Chennai

The decision comes in support the after-warranty market strong growth that India is witnessing. The Indian wind market has in fact steadily grown since 1986, with a peak between 2010 and 2013. This caused more and more wind turbines to get out-of-warranty in recent years, sparking a major need of spares parts and maintenance services.

We, as Spares in Motion, have also noticed that that in the last year the number of Indian users who have decided to use Spare in Motion has rapidly doubled. That's why we have decided to support our users, and the local aftermarket growth by opening an office in beautiful Chennai.

Managing the partnership in India will be Achal Kumar, who has years of experience in sales and business development, and comes from a family who has been pioneering the wind energy in India for the past 25 years. Kumar will locally help and support Indian manufacturers and suppliers in widening their target within India, and especially internationally, towards the ever-growing European market.
