UK: Wind Prospect Operations appoints new Asset Management Director

WPO is very pleased to announce the appointment of Kelly Dallas as new Director of Asset Management of WPO, as of the end of January 2016. Kelly reinforces WPO’s senior management team as their portfolio of asset management contracts continues to expand across Europe.

Kelly is a Mechanical Engineer from Cape Technikon (1992) in South Africa, he also holds an MBA from Manchester Business School (2012). Kelly comes with over 20 years of experience in the field of operations & investment in the energy industry (power generation from nuclear, gas turbines, wind and solar energy). He has occupied various senior positions in operations and maintenance as well as several senior executive positions in Bord Gáis Energy and Eco Wind Power. Until recently Kelly was Vice-President of Technical Asset Management at BlackRock Alternative Infrastructure Investments - Renewable Power Group.

He has both negotiated and managed investments in wind and solar projects across North America and Europe in excess of 1.5 GW, gaining a deep understanding and knowledge of the current issues being faced by the renewable energy market and its opportunities.

Kelly’s primary focus will be on leading the personnel & business process optimisation, organisation structure and governance to enable delivery of safe, reliable & fit-for-purpose asset management services.

The company aims to exceed 2 GW of secured asset management contracts in early 2016. Currently, WPO is contracted to manage 1.9 GW of wind and solar parks from its European offices in France, Germany, Ireland, Sweden & United Kingdom.
