Germany: SMC wraps up Marine Coordination on Baltic 2

Baltic 2 is now fully commisioned, with an installed capacity of 288 Megawatts, able to supply 340,000 households with climate-friendly power. SMC’s involvement on the project began in July 2014, and the first of 80 turbines came online on 24th April 2015. SMC’s services included coordination of Siemens personnel movements, planning of daily transfers, conducting site inductions and safety briefings. SMC were also a focal point in the event of emergencies and undertook vessel inspections to ensure fitness for purpose and compliance with relevant regulations.
