Finland: Vaisala Launches Weather Transmitter WXT530 Series for Flexible Monitoring of Real-Time Weather Conditions

The WXT530 Series is an instrument family with the ability to measure air pressure, temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind speed, and wind direction, in various combinations. The customer can chose to monitor only one condition or all six conditions, along with the flexibility to add third party sensors, depending on the configuration they choose.

The WXT530 is also a cost effective way to obtain weather information, acting as a flexible weather parameter hub. With multiple parameters in one sensor you can deploy the system right where you need it, rather than having to deploy each sensor individually. The compact size and flexibility of measurement options allows for deployment for a variety of applications. Meteorologists can fill gaps in their network of weather stations to obtain more data, railways can monitor conditions along routes, the maritime industry can monitor conditions on board ships or in ports, energy customers can monitor weather conditions near transmission lines, or the WXT530 can be used for other industrial measurement applications.
