India: Suzlon Group Wins Repeat Order of 100.8 MW from Orange Renewable

Suzlon Group, one of the leading wind turbine manufacturer, has won a repeat turnkey order from Orange Renewable, an Independent Power Producer (IPP) for 100.8 MW to be installed in Beluguppa, Andhra Pradesh, India. Suzlon will offer operation and maintenance service for an initial period of 12 years through an Integrated Service Package. This repeat order reaffirms customer’s faith in Suzlon’s product portfolio and service capabilities.

The project will be commissioned starting FY2016-17.

The wind park comprises of 48 WTGs (Wind Turbine Generators) of Suzlon’s robust S111 90m 2.1 MW wind turbines featuring the time tested Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) technology. The S111 which belongs to the reliable and proven 2.1 MW product suite is designed to harness suboptimal wind resources. This innovative product features a rotor diameter of 111.8 meters with a swept area of more than 9500 square meters, making it one of the best wind turbines in its class.
