Dock running at full capacity at ADM Kiel

Promising prospects at ADM Kiel: Currently two offshoreplatforms are protruding from the 426 x 89 m dimensioned dry dock No. 8 in Kiel-Gaarden.

Besides the impressive sight offered by the two steel jumbos, they also show the full capacity the Kiel traditional yard is running at.

With the lately finished sixth and last level the electric power substation for the offshore-windpark EnBW Baltic 2 can clearly be recognized from the other side of the Kiel Fjord. While the yard has already fulfilled its building part here – the rest of the completion will be done by the building owner – the second, unique German offshore-project is also visibly taking forms: After the three huge blocks have been assembled in the meantime, the platform will stay in the dry dock for a short time and will then change to ADMK’s state-of-the-art blasting hall for painting works.

The ADM Kiel GmbH looks back on more than 175 years of experience in shipbuilding. Developed from the HDW-Gaarden GmbH, the former area of surface vessel building of Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft GmbH, it is continuing the longstanding shipbuilding tradition at the Kiel Fjord. With 252.600 square meters area, docking halls of several hundred meters, cranes for loads of 900 t and 450 t as well as piers with 190 m and 160 m length ADM Kiel offers optimal conditions for unique newbuildings in the sector of megayachts, naval and offshore.

ADM Kiel GmbH belongs to the Privinvest Holding – just as its other shipyards NOBISKRUG GmbH and LINDENAU Werft GmbH. All three German facilities are being conducted by an integrated management team.
