Lapp Group appoints Georg Stawowy as Chief Technical Officer

New CTO at Lapp

The Stuttgart-based Lapp Group is strengthening its commitment to technology and innovation. As part of this, on 01 October 2013 the new position of "Chief Technical Officer" was created. The man responsible for this important area will be Georg Stawowy (44), previously head of a strategic business unit in the sealing division at the Freudenberg Group.

 

"We are aiming for further strategic growth. To achieve that, we need continuous innovation. We also need to constantly safeguard the capability of our plants and the quality of our products. In Mr. Stawowy, we have an experienced expert, with the ability to manage this area of responsibility worldwide", explains Board Member Siegbert E. Lapp.

 

Georg Stawowy's first task in the Lapp Group will be to promote continuous optimisation of all production processes in the 17 plants worldwide, based on the Lapp Operation System (LOS). The main focus will be on the ongoing development of quality management. His project responsibility will also include the construction of new plants, as is currently the case in Brazil.

 

 

Georg Stawowy has taken on the position of Chief Technical Officer at the Lapp Group.
