Exhibition Ticker - From Frankfurt to Copenhagen – EWEA OFFSHORE 2015 confirmed

Denmark’s capital Copenhagen has been confirmed as the host location for the EWEA OFFSHORE 2015 Conference & Exhibition (1-3 December 2015, Bella Center).

This year, EWEA OFFSHORE 2013 will occur in Frankfurt. The following event, in 2015, will be in Copenhagen. The call for abstracts for OFFSHORE 2013 is now open.

EWEA’s decision on Copenhagen as the location is based on a strong commitment and support from local partners, led by the Danish Wind Industry Association and the city itself. It honours the outstanding joint effort Copenhagen has shown in gathering support for the event on a local, regional and national level. The European Offshore congress in Copenhagen 2015 marks its 10th anniversary, after the series started with Copenhagen Offshore in 2005.

EWEA CEO Thomas Becker said “Facing the North Sea and Baltic Sea, Denmark is an ideal location for Europe’s premier offshore wind energy conference and exhibition. With so many companies involved in the pioneering Danish offshore wind industry, I am absolutely confident that EWEA Offshore 2015 will be a very well-attended and successful event.
EWEA was delighted with the welcome and engagement of DWIA, the Danish Government and the City of Copenhagen as well as Danish wind energy companies for EWEA 2012 annual event in Copenhagen. We look forward to working with them again for Offshore 2015.”

”Having EWEA Offshore 2015 in Copenhagen Denmark is a fantastic opportunity for Denmark and the companies in the Danish wind industry. Denmark was the first country to build offshore wind already in 1991 and today we are home to some of the most experienced offshore companies. The conference in 2015 will serve as the 10 year anniversary since the conference was last time in Copenhagen. It is our hope that EWEA Offshore 2015 will attract record high numbers of attendees just as the EWEA Annual Event 2012 did it in Copenhagen last year,“ says Jan Hylleberg, CEO, DWIA.
