Tripod transport from Emden to Bremerhaven for the first time

The first shipment of two tripods from Emden arrived in Bremerhaven on July 7. The heavyweight foundation structures for offshore wind turbines covered the route across the North Sea on BLG’s special pontoon OFFSHORE BHV 1. The pontoon convoy with the tugboats TURM and WESER brought the tripods from the manufacturer SIAG in Emden to the mouth of the Weser for finishing work at Weserwind in Bremerhaven’s Fischereihafen. After their completion the tripods will initially be taken to the BLG Offshore Terminal in Überseehafen and stored temporarily there until shipment to the installation vessels. The tripods are destined for the Trianel Wind Farm Borkum, which is currently under construction.
