The 51 wind turbines project will be the subject of a community meeting at Mortlake, north of Warrnambool. The meeting has been organised by a resident who fears the wind farm could harm her family's health.

David Clarke from Acciona Energy says it will send representatives to the event. He says community meetings organised by the company during the past fortnight have been well attended.

"They're what we call open houses and anyone can drop in just to find out about the wind power project," he said. "We've had a good turnout so far, lots of people asking questions about what the project is up to. "We understand that there is strong support in the local community about the wind power project but that some people do have concerns."
