Hamburg, 20.09.2011. Grillo Werke AG is a specialist in zinc and sulfur products. The core competence around zinc was and is focus of Grillo-Werke AG since 1849. Zinc metallurgy and sulfur chemistry together are the origin since the two elements zinc and sulfur are based on the same ores. So in the current production it's still a natural link. The metal divison produces finished and semi-finished products of zinc and its alloys such as wires, sheets, powders, anodes, battery products and ZAMAK(R). In the field of special products, newly products and products for special applications are offered. Intensive research & development work is the base that Grillo is well known as one of the leading manufacturers of zinc and sulfur chemicals. Demand-driven research and development programs are continuing this tradition and will lead to successful products in the future with new applications. For example the r & d of the metal division creates new products for light weight constructions in the automotive industry through the development of new solder materials and materials based on zinc foam.
