What's more, we have our own in-house test benches for carrying out out a vast range of tests on drive components, such as gears, gear motors, roller bearings, hydraulic pumps and motors.
Windfair: How many employees does your company have?
Joachim Kott: DMT GmbH & Co. KG currently employs around 560 staff – the DMT Group around 660.
Windfair: How many dedicated to Wind Energy?
Joachim Kott: Around 40 members of staff work in our machine diagnostics/wind and test bench/drive technologies segment.
Windfair: Do you have any new or upcoming Wind Energy Products or Services?
Joachim Kott: Our software for the WindSafe online condition monitoring system is being continuously expanded to include optional tools; it is dynamic process. Currently, we have just released the reporting tool. We offer our KS22 tower vibration sensor in both standard and customised versions.
Windfair: Do you have any special training programs for your employees?
Joachim Kott: Yes, for us it is really important that trainees, apprentices or graduands receive an offer of work at the end of their training or apprenticeship. There will also be demand in future for technicians, developers and diagnostic engineers with experience in the field of wind power plants.
Windfair: Tell us about your future developments. What can we expect in the next year or two?
Joachim Kott: More complex requirements in terms of expert tools such as CMS and the related monitoring and evaluation activities are in demand on the market and give us an opportunity to offer more services.
