Norway - Thirty-one wind turbines to be erected in the Norwegian Municipality of Farsundsta Wind Farm in Norway

The wind energy plant will consist of thirty-one wind turbines and have an installed capacity of 102 MW

The Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE) consented the Lista Wind Farm in the Municipality of Farsund, County of Vest-Agder in December 2006. The wind farm will have a maximum of 31 wind turbines and have an installed capacity of 102 MW.

The consent was granted to Norsk Miljø Energi Sør AS - a daughter company of Fred. Olsen Renewables AS. Lista Wind Power Plant AS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fred. Olsen Renewables, has awarded Veidekke Entreprenør AS the contract for the construction of the Lista Wind Energy Plant in the Municipality of Farsund. The contract sum is NOK 208 million excluding VAT.

Veidekke has signed an EPC Contract and is responsible for completing the design, construction, installation and commissioning of the wind farm infrastructure. This includes the construction of roads, turbine foundations, cable trenches and additional buildings.

Siemens AS is the project's electro supplier and is responsible for the installation of the plant's electronic infrastructure and coupling the wind turbines to the local electric grid.

The wind power plant will consist of thirty-one wind turbines and have an installed capacity of 102 MW. It will produce 280 GWh electricity per annum; the equivalent of the annual electricity consumption of approximately 15.000 households. Veidekke will provide the plant's infrastructure, building twenty-two kilometres of roads in order to reach each wind turbine. The wind energy project will commence in May 2011 and its date of completion is in the first quarter of 2013.
