Wind Industry Profile of

New plant for the hardanodising of large Aluminium parts

At our site in Kerpen, Germany, we have commissioned a new plant designed for the coating of large Aluminium parts up to a length of 7 metres, using our HART-COAT® process. During this hard anodising process a protective Aluminium Oxide layer is produced on the surfaces of workpieces making it possible for a wide range of components to be protected e.g. against wear and corrosion. Nearly all commonly used wrought, cast and diecast alloys based on Aluminium can be treated by HART-COAT®.

In the new plant rollers, profiles, tubes, special tools or other large parts can be treated. The key precondition is that they do not exceed the following dimensions:
Length: 7,700 mm, width: 1,200 mm and height: 2,000 mm
The maximum weight of parts that can be carried amounts to 5,000 kg.
