PowerWind sells five wind turbines to the DMA Group
*Turbines of type PowerWind 56 are to be installed in Italy in 2011
*Follow-up orders are already being negotiated
The German wind turbine manufacturer PowerWind has sold five wind turbines to the Italian project developer DMA Group. The systems of type PowerWind 56, with a rated power of 900 kilowatts each, are to be built next year at five locations in Puglia and Campania.
The DMA Group, based in Rome, has already installed wind energy projects with a total capacity of 100 megawatts in Puglia, and an additional 150 megawatts are in the development. In addition to the main business of wind energy, the Group is also active in the photovoltaic and biomass sectors. "What convinced us were the above average energy yield of the PowerWind 56 plants already installed in Puglia and the customer focus of the PowerWind company itself. The sales staff was available around the clock", said Antonio Del Mastro, CEO of the DMA Group. "For this reason, we are already in negotiations for follow-up contracts, especially for the new 2.5 megawatt PowerWind 90/100 platform."
