Chile - Waiting for investors to develop new Wind Farm
In Quillagua, Meteorites territory in Aymara, II region of Chile, there is a great opportunity for the
development of a Wind Farm for the energy future of the north of the country. The land concessions are ready, the permits from CONAMA have been approved, the necessary wind measurements have been taken and the inter-connection for the delivery of clean energy is being supplied by the Sistema Interconectado del Norte Grande (SING).
The Green initiative is waiting for a group of investors to materialize and start one of the most
ambitious energy project initiatives in Chile, that will deliver clean energy for the first time to the northern part of the country and therefore to the growing mining sector.
The full implementation of the Wind Park should take a year and a half, the installed capacity will be
100 MW and the energy to be generated will be 256,7 GWH per year with a 29% load factor. To view more on the opportunity, please see http://www.ungrado.com/archives/1473
