European Offshore Wind 2009 - The world's largest offshore wind event
The world’s largest event dedicated to offshore wind energy will take place this year in Stockholm, Sweden from 14-16 September 2009.
Combining a high quality conference programme with a major exhibition, European Offshore Wind 2009 will be the third in a series of biennial events organised by the European Wind Energy Association(EWEA). This year’s event, supported by the Swedish Wind Energy Association, will also include specific conference sessions on the Swedish market as well as a Swedish Pavilion at the exhibition.
The 2007 European Offshore Wind event, held in Berlin, provided an important platform for senior politicians from Germany, Sweden, Denmark and the UK to share their vision on the future of offshore wind power. The conference featured 200 presentations in over 30 sessions and side events. The busy exhibition of over 100 leading companies enabled participants to network and do business with professionals from all parts of the wind, electricity and offshore sectors.
Building on the success of the previous events, the 2009 exhibition is double the size of the 2007 edition and more than 140 companies have already booked their space. The conference programme will cover all aspects of offshore wind energy, including policy, business and technology issues.
2,000 participants are expected to come from all over Europe, Asia and North America to take part
