USA - enXco expands wind contracts with MidAmerican Energy

enXco Service Corporation (eSC)- an EDF Energies Nouvelles Company, announced a multi-year Operations and Maintenance agreement with MidAmerican Energy Company, which puts the total number of megawatts under contract to 3,186 (representing over 4,500 turbines). This solidifies eSC's position as the leading third-party O&M provider for wind-energy projects in North America.

This latest contract for 216 turbines makes a total of 615 turbines (897.5 MW) that eSC operates for MidAmerican and marks the fourth agreement signed with MEC this year.

"These additional contracts strengthen the already strong relationship we have with MidAmerican Energy. We believe our policy of putting safety and quality ahead of everything else resonates well with MidAmerican's relentless commitment to providing excellent service to its customers," commented Larry Barr, executive vice president for enXco Service Corporation.

In addition to operation and maintenance services provided at the Charles City (75MW), Carroll (150 MW), and Victory (99 MW) wind projects, 24/7 remote monitoring and fault resets will be provided from eSC's Operations Control Center located in Pipestone, Minnesota. eSC employs more than 300 full-time wind technicians.
