Canada - Shear Wind Inc.: Environmental Assessment Submitted

Shear Wind Inc ("Shear Wind")has submitted their Environmental Assessment (EA) and Registration Document for the 60MW Glen Dhu project which is slated for initial generation as early as December 2009.

The EA was submitted to Nova Scotia Environment (NSE) on August 13, 2008, with the Administrator of the Environmental Assessment Act and registered as of August 20.

"We are very excited about the results of our EA, the culmination of a year of hard work from our environmental team. Our great project site at Glen Dhu is further validated through this EA, and we are confident that with the new environmental application process we can anticipate a positive approval from the Minister of the Environment within 30 to 45 days", said Ian Tillard, COO of Shear Wind.

Tillard expands, "Planning for the ground work and site preparation has begun and we anticipate to be well underway in the fall with initial foundation work for our planned supply of Enercon 2-Megawatt E82 turbines. Shear Wind is in the final stages of our financing process and we are gearing up for a comprehensive and busy construction year."
